Does a scheduling component exist in BTS 2004?
|
|
|
| We are looking into BTS 2004, but require some logic that
is performed on a certain date/time and frequency. Does
any one have any ideas?

BizTalk Server 2004 doesn't include a scheduler, but you could use either
the OS or SQL Agent to start a business process at a specific time. One way
to do this is have a job that 'triggers' an orchestration by moving a file
to a receive port location that effectivley starts an orchestration at the
said time. The orchestrations logic could determine then if it needs to go
back to sleep or continue with the business function
