2002 to 2004 Migration
|
|
|
| Hi,
I am experimenting with migrating 2002 ports and channels to BTS 2004. When I run the migration wizard in VS2003, I am able to select my ports, but get an HTTP401.2 permissions error in accessing the WebDAV. Here are some details of my setup:
1. I am running Win2003 with IIS6.0.
2. I can browse the WebDAV from IIS manager.
3, The WebDAV physical directory has permissions set for Network Service to read, write, browse, modify, read and execute and list.
4. In IIS, WebDAV is running in the default app pool with identity of Network Service.
5. The WebDAV is in the Default Web Site. Virtual directory permissions are read, write, index, browse. Configuration is scripts only, no parent paths. Access is by windows integrated auth with anonymous allowed for IUSR.
6. SharePoint Services 2.0 is intalled on the default web site, and seems to be working well, although I am not sure I quite understand the concept of managed paths and how it relates to WebDAV access.
7. WebDAV is enabled in web services in IIS.
8. The issue occurs whether or not I remove the ISAPI filter stsfltr (SharePoint) on the web site.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated. Thanks.

| Is BTS 2002 running on Server 2003 as well? Biztalk 2004 does not use
Webdav, so wanted to make sure we had this covered on the 2002 box. Can you
attach your migration log from the <server>:\temp\BiztalkMigration40 folder?

| Hi Jack,
Thanks for your reply. BTS2002 is not on the box. My config log for BTS2004 looks ok to me, but I can send it if you will tell me where to send you e-mail. I have a feeling the problem is in some Win2003 lockdown setting that is obvious to everyone but
me. A couple of other symptoms with BTS2004 - I tried a couple of orchestrations from the SDK (Call and HelloWorld). They install without error. When run, they give the error that the File transport does not have read/write permissions on the source f
older, and the recieve location shuts down. Don't know if this is related?

| After reinstall/reconfig of BTS2004, I get the following log when I try to run my migration:

7:47:16 PM: Fininished loading Receive Functions from database.
7:47:16 PM: Connected to BTS2002 database successfully.

_to_CIGNA, detailed error message:Error during initialization for migration of Schema Simple_270_to_BTS, detailed error message:Unable to copy http://DEV2004/BizTalkServerReposit...rce_from_DB.xml from DAV store. Please check if the DAV st
ore is correctly configured and the file exists. Detailed error message:Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.

7:48:03 PM: Migration process finished with error.
This would give the impression that my schema does not exist, but it certainly does. At least the 401 error is solved.

| More info:
The key to getting from the 401 error to my current error was to use SharePoint Admin to make the URL to my WebDAV an excluded path.
