Hi

I am facing a problem when setting up a receive location using the
MSMQ adapter.

Scenario

1)MSMQ and MSMQT are on the same PC.
2)They are listening to different IP Addresses.
3)Both are starting without any Error.
4)MSMQT adapter is configured on my PC.
5)I configured a new Receive Port and a Receive Location with MSMQT
adapter
I specifed the private queue name <queuename>.
I even tried PRIVATE=Machineguid\<QueueNo> But its not accepting the
format.
6)I created a send port with FILE adapter and attached the subsciption
to that using the Receive Port name.
7)I start both the receive location and Send Port
8)As It should happen it should pick the message from queue and drp in
my file location.

I see a lot of messages on this problem but none of them is a working
solution .

Can any one with a solution post it as a sequence of steps ???

Can a solution exist in this case first of all ???

But I am able to post message to queue successfully.

So you have been able to post to Queue successfully? Can you give more
details on the error message you are getting in the Application Event Log?

Hi Matt

When I say post to the queue it is through Biztalk .
I was able to post to the queue on my machine without errors through
MSMQT but I was unable to pick messages from MSMQ.

It does not any any error message whike I try to receive from MSMQ
through MSMQT it just doesn't work.

If I understand correctly, you are trying to receive a message from MSMQ?

If so, I don't believe the MSMQT Receive Adapter can pick up a message from
an MSMQ queue. It can only provide a MSMQ-like interface for MSMQ clients
to post directly to.

Hi Matt

You are right. That is what exactly I want to do.

My application posts messages to the local queue which should be
picked up by MSMQT adapter. This is how things used to happen in 2002
,right ???

I hope there exists some solution for this scenario.

I believe the new MSMQC Sample Adapter in the new SDK Refresh (posted
4/1/2004) might do want you want. You can dowload the revised SDK here -
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&displaylang=en

I'd also download the new documentation to go with it if you haven't
already -

Hey Matt

I am nullifying my last two posts.
I just tested the MSMQC adapter of Microsoft .Its working fine.

Regarding the subscription Viewer I made a very improper remark. It is
just used to view the subscriptions not the receive locations right??

Hi Matt

When I try to run this on another machine it is giving me trouble.
It says MSMQC cannot pick messages from MSMQ because it is a WORKGROUP installation.

How do you resolve this error ?

Have you tested MSMQC adapter?

Please reply

So, you are pointing to a queue on another server? Correct? If so...

In what format are you specify the "Queue" name? (i.e. -
DIRECT=OS:machinename\PRIVATE$\myqueuena
me)

I think you usually see that error if you try to specify the queue with a
Public format, meanwhile the queue is a Private/Workgroup queue (not in AD).

Hi Matt

I have a few questions for you , if you can answer them ?

1) I am passing different xml with multiple name spaces to an
orchestration .
I have a property schema and an element in all the XML files that
uniquely distinguishes each one of them.

But as the name spaces they contain are from external sources I am
unable to identify the schemas with the name spaces in my schema .

Did you by any chance face this problem ?

How does Biztalk handle multiple namespaces ?

Srinivas.A

Multiple namespaces do not cause any troubles. Your roottag name is always
contained in the same namespace right? The schema you are provided with are
given beforehand, right? If this is the case: just deploying the different
schema's to your server causes biztalk to match each of the messages with
the correct schema by looking at the roottagname and target namespace
thereof.

Christof

Hi Christof

I have two problems exactly speaking

1) I am unable to create schema for an xml with more than one target
name space.

2)In my problem I have Xml coming from external sources with their
name spaces.
I have to distinguish among them by using a property schema . Now to
use my
property schema I need to have a schema with my project name space
with the property exposed.

Do I need to convert the external name space to my project name space
before sending the document for processing ?

I don't see another way of doing this ?

Can you please explain me ?

Srini

You should be able to pretty easily create a schema with your partners
namespace.

Can you elaborate on what you mean by "using your property schema to
distinguish between them"?

If you publish the schemas for the documents you are getting, then you
should be fine.

You should still be able to promote properties from those schemas using
whatever property namespace you want.

Matt

What do you mean with this. Please elaborate. XML Schema only allows you
to specify ONE SINGLE target namespace. That namespace is applied to the
elements defined in the particular schema. Since BizTalk Server follows the
XML Schema recommendation very closely, the editor does not allow you that
kind of things. Even more: In my understanding, having more then a single
target namespace does not make a lot of sense.
