Is there any way to setup a file receive on an UNC path to a windows 2000
server using a Local Account?

Lets say my BTS box is a windows 2003 server and BTS is running under the
local account "BiztalkWorker". Now I need to setup a file share location on
the Windows 2000 box. What account should I give modify permissions to on
the win2k box? I setup the same user "BiztalkWorker" and gave it full
control, but I get the following error on the receive location:

The Messaging Engine failed to add a receive URL "OrderBackupReceive" to the
adapter "FILE". Reason: "File transport does not have read/write privileges
for receive location '\\Win2kServer\c$\WWW\Orders\FailedMessa
ge\'. ".

The above scenario works like a charm if the receive location is on a
Win2003 box.

Any thoughts?

C.

Are you on a Workgorup? On a domain, local account can not be cross
authenticated between boxes. To access remote server UNC path, you should
run the process under a domain account.
