| Hi Lyndon, I'm assuming this happens when you try processing data through
the receive/send port that uses the pipeline? Or does this happen as soon
as you try to save the port after selecting the pipeline?
Do you have the rollup package for BizTalk 2004 installed?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...0146-5F20-4D94-
9F52-3E7E575736DF&displaylang=en
Also, what operating system are you running on? 2000, 2003, XP?

| Do you have the com+ hotfix rollup for XP installed on this machine? For
Biztalk 2004 you will need this. I haven't seen the specific error you are
getting, but try installing http://support.microsoft.com/?id=837119 if it
isn't already installed and see if this helps. If this is already
installed, can you post a project you are having problems with?

| Yes. I do have the com+ hotfix installed.
The problem is happening everytime I try to create or open a new pipeline
object.
The error is occurring on every project, even the sdk samples. I have
installed all the hotfixes/updates recommended in the install docs. I have
also installed biztalk Rollup1.
More and more its starting to look like i have a lame duck install of
Biztalk.
I'll prolly uninstall wipe my harddrive and reinstall this weekend. I
really appreciate your time Larry.

| Hrm.... Well the only things I've been able to find that match this are
old bugs that were resolved by RTM of the product. Most of them seem to
mention the underlying system.XML objects, so it may be that it's a
combination of BizTalk and .net? Do any other samples have the problem?
At this point I have no real suggestions on it, can't reproduce it and
can't find anything on it for the RTM version. You could call in and we
might be able to get some debug info from it, but if it's not a critical
machine it might be worth it just to rebuild.

| Its just my development machine. I'm having the problem on every pipeline
object. I'm guessing that it is just an isolated problem or else you would
know about it.
I'll try to rebuild my machine this weekend. thanks for all your help.

| I'm also - just now - getting this error.
I've been developing pipeline components. So I've been deleting my component regularly from the pipeline components folder, and I accidentally deleted the Microsoft.BizTalk.Pipeline.Components.dll file. I restored it from the recycle bin.
Then I installed NUnit, and NUnit Testrunner addin. Now I'm getting this pipeline problem.
I've tried mucking about with the file to try and sort this - because this is an XML parser error isn't it? No joy. I've run a repair of BTS2004 - also no joy.
Any idea whats going on?

| I uninstalled and reinstalled nunit and testrunner and this fixed the problem - very strange!
