| Hello.
We are having some problems with BT installation, everythings goes fine but
when setup tries to create BT group the following error is logged.
Event Type: Error
Event Source: Application
Event Category: None
Event ID: 0
Date: 06/07/2004
Time: 6:06:47 PM
User: N/A
Computer: TP1LIVEMAP1
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Application ) cannot be
found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following
information is part of the event: An error occurred while attempting to
create the BizTalk Server group "BizTalk Server Group".
The BizTalk Server WMI provider cannot create the BizTalk Server group
object.
Hresult: 0xc0c01529
Description: The server group cannot be created because "Unspecified error".
Source: WMI MicrosoftBizTalkServer_Group.
Actually we had some problems in our BT installation, to overcome these
problems we uninstalled the BT and try to re-installed. After uninstall we
also deleted the BT databases manually.
Regards,
Qaiser

| I've only ever seen this problem when attempting to install on a domain
controller or back up domain controller. Is that your situation? I'd
highly recommend away from installing BTS 2002 on a Domain controller.

| Are you installing BizTalk Server on a Domain Controller? If so, it is
recommended that you do not install on Domain Controller.
If you are not installing on a Domain Controller, make sure that the user
account which is being used to install BizTalk Server has the right to
create a database on SQL Server.
Another possibility is that previous failed attempts to install BizTalk
Server have been preventing you from installing BizTalk Server again on the
same SQL Server. Delete the old unused SQL Server databases that BizTalk
Server attempted to create previously. Then try your installation again.
