Biztalk 2002 Document Tracking Bug
|
|
| John Roberts 2004-07-09, 3:31 pm |
| Has anyone else noticed that, after applying the KB870669
fix, you are no longer able to pull up document data.
Is there a patch out there for biztalk 2002?
I did some looking into it and the only way we could get
it to work was to remove the registry key that KB870669
put in.
Please let me know if there is another way.
Thank You

| Microsoft is aware of this issue and working on it. KB870669 protects
ADODB.Stream from running it in Internet Explorer, but BizTalk Server 2002
Document Tracking feature was developed to rely on ADODB.Stream to display
tracked documents.
If the machine is not connected to the Internet, it is recommended to
remove the QFE. If the machine is connected to the Internet, you still need
to remove the QFE until Microsoft releases new patch that solves this
issue, but you should be careful with the virus called Download.Ject (It is
called JS_JECT.A or other names). Visiting a malicious web page with java
script file embedded (Trojan script) may cause downloading some executable
in your local machine.
Please visit the following web site to get more information:
http://www.microsoft.com/security/i...nload_ject.mspx
Thanks,
Sunghwa

| Dear customer,
The only way to solve the issue right now is uninstalling the QFE.
Microsoft PSS is trying to solve the problem now. If you want to keep in
touch with Microsoft PSS for this problem, please open new service request
by contacting PSS. In general, PSS refunds the money if the case was
becuase of problem in Microsoft product.
Thanks,
Sunghwa
