I successfully installed Biztalk Server and was following through the
tutorial until I came to deployment section.
Thats when I noticed there were no database installed on the local sql
server. How can I correct this?

BizTalk's setup is slightly different from other products. The setup copies the bits
on the hard drive and registers a few DLLs. After the setup, there is another step called
"Configuration" where you specify how your BizTalk server is configured. This is required
because you might want to deploy BizTalk on multiple machines.

Until you successfully "configure", there will be no databases created.

I believe that you did not run config wizard. Normally, at the ind of setup, there is an option
"run configuration wizard now". You can decide to not do this at this time.
If you did not run the config wizard, you can run it now. It is located into <bts install folder>\configwizard.exe

There is also the possibility (slim, I admit) that you actually created databases on a remote SQL server.
I am sure you would have noticed this ;-)

Thanks.
-Gilles.
