I'm trying to set up and run the .NET Toolkit on a W2K system. The system does not have VS.NET installed. I've installed BTS2002, .NET Framework 1.1, and the .NET toolkit. The first problem is that the setup_toolkit.cmd does not run. I get a "failure
initializing gacutil". The copies of the primary interop assemblies to C:\program files\primary interop assemblies also fails. When I try to run the BTSConfigApp examples, they fail looking for the BTSConfig.dll assembly. If I hand register the assembl
y, BTSConfgApp doesn't find it. If I copy BTSConfig.dll into the same directory as BTSConfigApp (c#) I get a version mismatch. The VB version loads BTSConfig but dies when BTSObjecModelLib (also hand registered) tries to access the DataPort property. (
Which is really my problem). I have written an application which uses the BTSConfig.dll, creating ports, channels, etc. That application also dies when I call any method from BTSConfig.dll (like CreatePort). These applications work on a system with VS.
Net installed and where I've rebuilt the BTSConfig.dll. Any suggestions (other than installing VS.Net on the target machine, that's not an option)?

The .net toolkit only work with VS 2002 and framework 1.0.

thanks for the response but that's not accurate. You have to change the setup_toolkit command to reference v1.1.4322 but, other than that, it works fine. Anyway, I solved the problem. Turned out it was a corrupted BizTalk install. Reinstalled BizTalk
and everything worked fine. Thanks anyway.
