No BizTalk Server repository found
|
|
|
| BizTalk 2000 2.1.1907.0 on Windows 2000 Sp4
While creating a channel on this production server, an
error came up during browsing
"No BizTalk Server repository was found on
http://<production-server>. Enter another server name to
retry the WebDAV repository connection"
Attempt to open the map from WebDAV using the BizTalk
Mapper Editor also failed as
"No BizTalk Server repository was found on
http://<production-server>/BizTalkServerRepository/Maps.
Enter another server name to retry the WebDAV repository
connection"
A test server with same server config did not have any
problem, except MSDAIPP.DLL was different: 8.103.2402.0 on
test system and 10.145.3914.17 on production system
Have checked the following
1. FrontPage Server Extensions is not enabled on the
production server
2. No change was made to IIS on the production server
recently
3. Successfully browse from Windows Explorer the location
http://<production-server>/BixTalkServerRepository/"
4. IIS>DefaultWeb
Site>BizTalkServerRepository>Properties>Virtual Directory
tab>Directory browsing does have Read+Write+Directory
Browsing
5. MSDAIPP.DLL 10.145.3914.17 appraently came from Office
XP SP1, which might have been applied on this production
sever
Is it safe just to un-register and re-register MSDAIPP.DLL
on this box? Any resultant effects on BizTalk or other
hosted application?
Thanks
Hong

| Take a look at:
281942 PRB: Error Message: No BizTalk Server Repository Was Found on
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=281942
Biztalk was designed for version 8.103.2402.0.

| hello Jack
Have come across this article and its relevance to this
problem.
However, I am still unsure the implications of unregister
the current (newer) MSDAIPP module and re-register the
required module.
Using SCANREG against registry hives produced multiple
registrations of this module, which adds to uncertainty.
Thanks for any additional advice
