I have installed the Microsoft Infopath 2003 SDK. I would like to run the
Purchase order BizTalk sample, men it seems that the sample is made for
earlier versions of BizTalk server than BizTalk server 2004. Is this correct?

The error I receive is that when I run the setup program for the sample is
that BTConfAssistant.exe can not be found, but this executable is not
installed when the BizTalk 2004 Server SDK is installed.

Is the InfoPath Resource Kit the thing to have?

You probably have downloaded the Infopath SDK from:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&displaylang=en

The support documentation in the SDK (the one which describes how to run the sample) is at:

http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/d...SampleForms.asp

The article states:

<quote>
About the BizTalk Purchase Order and Invoice Sample Forms
Applies to:

Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003
Microsoft Office InfoPath 2003 Service Pack 1
Microsoft BizTalk Server 2002
</quote>

So, yes, this sample is for BizTalk 2002.
You will need to make significant changes to the sample so it works with BizTalk 2004.

Sure, if you plan on doing Infopath development. Notice that BizTalk 2004 ships with several Infopath examples as well.
Look inside the <biztalk installation root>\SDK directory.

Thanks,
