Biztalk and Oracle?
|
|
| Bradley Plett 2005-01-25, 8:47 pm |
| When I've used Biztalk in the past, it has always been with SQL
Server. Unfortunately, my present client uses Oracle. How big of a
problem is this? Will Biztalk talk to Oracle as well as it does to
SQL Server? Is a SQL Server license required just to run Biztalk?
Will Biztalk require a separate adapter (i.e. at additional cost from
another vendor) in order to insert data into an Oracle database?
Thanks!
Brad.

| Brad,
You need a license for SQL Server since the core message store is SQL Server
2000 and it cannot be anything else.
In terms of talking to Oracle, I heard that the SQL adapter it has out of
the box doesnt work. (Havent tried it myself but a colleague did)
So you might have to go the commercial route.
