Author B2B tutorial fails trying to access web service send port

Working through the B2B tutorial, I can't seem to get my orchestration to
talk to my web services. I get 3 error messages in the event log:

The adapter "SOAP" raised an error message. Details "Exception has been
thrown by the target of the invocation.".
The adapter "SOAP" raised an error message. Details "Object reference not
set to an instance of an object.".
The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port
"http://localhost/B2BSupplierProcessPO/Process.asmx". It wil be retransmitted
after the retry interval specified for this Send Port. Details: "Object
reference not set to an instance of an object.".

This retries 3 times and then gives up (as expected).

I've checked the web service by going to the URL in a browser, and it
exists. The application pool for the web site runs under an identity that's a
member of the IIS_WPG and BizTalk Isolated Hosts Users groups. The web site
allows anonymous access, and I've tried setting the anonymous account to the
same identity as the application pool. I've tried reinstalling ASP.NET on IIS
using aspnet_regiis.exe.

I assume I've missed something along the way, but can't find anything to
tell me what. Any ideas?

This is running on BizTalk Server 2004 SP 1 on Windows Server 2003 SP 1.

Many thanks.
