File Receive Function BUG help request
|

| Using these applications, the following error is encountered.
Biztalk 2002, SP1, with assorted Hotfixes
Windows Server 2003 Standard Edition
We have a file receive function that polls for files of type 6724*.xml, and
sends them to an orchestration, but we have also created a file receive
function that passes the file to a non-orchestration channel and we get the
same issue. The issue is that the file receive function will pick up a file
named '6730-20051026195954.SHP.xml' even though it does not meet the polling
criteria. The file continues to get picked up through repeated testing.
When the file is renamed to '6730-20051026195951.SHP.xml' it is no longer
recognized by the file receive function.
Can someone let me know if there is a hotfix for this issue?
Thank you,
Tom Burk

| Am I the only one to find this issue? Try it, just create any channel/port,
or just use a pass through and no channel or envelope; all we are testing
here is the file receive function ability to pick up a file.
Is anyone out there able to get this strange result? If not, why does it
occur on our system?
Thanks,
Tom

| Hi Tom. I could not recreate the bug you have found. I created a file
receive port with 6724*.xml as the mask. I dropped a file in with name
6730-20051026195954.SHP.xml and nothing happened. I then changed it to
6724-20051026195954.SHP.xml and BizTalk consumed it.
