French character in flat file

| Hi,
I created a schema to process flat file that has French character inside.
When I changed the code page property of schema, it didn't work, I couldn't
validate the flat file. But if removed all French characters, it worked
fine. What am I supposed to do for this case?

| What is the encoding of the flat file? What error does it give when
validation fails?
