Hello,

Lately we have started to work with BizTalk. We are using BTS2004.

I have started to look into the possibilities of the FTP adapter.
I was able to get it working. Files are transferred from one FTP site to
another.
I can even keep the original file names using %SourceFileName% for Target
File Name.
So far so good.

Now I tried to follow the advice to use the Temporary Folder option.

BUT when I fill in the name of a folder this is the error message popping up:
"The temporary folder can only be used when sending or receiving files with
a binary representation type."

I do not understand this restriction.
Am I doing something wrong? Is it strange to use a temporary folder for
ASCII type files?
In other FTP procedures outside BizTalk we already used the temporary folder
solution, also for ASCII type of files.

Does someone have the same experience?
How could I solve this?
