Why does Mass Copy Functoid copy namespaces?

Hi,

I have a source schema with namespaces defined and a destination schema with
no namespaces defined. The source and destination schema both have the same
child node for which I am mass copying, the only difference being that the
source has a namespace but the destination doesn't, and the destination
schema also has "ElementFormDefault="Unqualified"". Why does mass copy copy
the namespace as well, even when the destination schema does not have a
namespace and is unqualified? Any ideas how to overide this other than
copying link for link?
