Hi,

I am having trouble sending international characters to the IBM Mainframe
Queue.
We are using the BizTalk MQSeries Adapter for communicating to the Queue.
We tried sending the Message using the 1252 codepage and the Messages on the
mainframe were either incorrect or did not display correctly.

Any ideas or links where I can find more information on the same.

Thanks in Advance,

Hi,

Are these XML or flatfile documents? Where did you specify the codepage - in
the send pipeline?

Sincerely

Joerg Fischer

No these are flat files and we are using BizTalk 2002. We are Setting the
Codepage property in the Execute method of the Pipeline AIC. We are trying
to send German characters to the Mainframe.

Thanks,

Srinivas

Hi,

How does the document find its way into BizTalk? Via COM Interface or file
receive function?

Sincerely

We are submitting the document (SubmitSync) from a stand alone application to
a channel which has the MQSeries Adapter as the port.

Thanks,

Srinivas

Hi,

I assume this to be a problem with the document to be submitted via the COM
interface since the documents submitted that way are in UNICODE format and
thus are parsed incorrectly when treated as a flatfile.

Try to use a file receive function for debugging purposes. If this succeeds,
try the following: define two flatfile schemas which are identical but
differ only in the codepage (one set blank, one with the desired codepage).
create a map from the first to the second which will plainly map identical.
Set the first as the input and the second as the output document and select
the map accordingly within the channel configuration.

Try if this configuration performs correctly.
