Hi

I want to know whether we can read the file name alone from the receive
location without ever picking up the file.

I haven't tried this but I would guess that the receive port "gets" the file
(FTP) or opens a copy (FILE) and passes it to the pipeline components for
processing so the answer would be no. What are you trying to accomplish?
