I'm using biztalk 2004 with covast accerator
I'm trying to pull in a couple of 810 v 3040 files....
I'm simply trying to traslate the edi to xml using a receive and
send port. The send port is filtered to look at the receive port,
and uses a mapping.
Both ports are on/enabled

It processes them thru covast and tries to pass them onto biztalk

At which point it says that biztalk rejects them. It has a lot of
Errors in the log starting with

The Messaging engine failed to process a message submitted by adapter:Covast
EDI Accelerator Source URL:EDI://6316786:ZZ:6316786. Details:Could not find a
matching subscription for the message. . This error occurs if the subscribed
orchestration schedule or send port has not been started, or if some of the
message properties necessary for subscription evaluation have not been
promoted. Please refer to Health and Activity Tracking tool for more detailed
information on this failure

For more information, see Help and Support Center at

<<PRODEDI_tetrace_0.log>> <<bandttwo.txt>> <<bandtone.txt>>

I'm not even using that san number... the san number in the documents are
1556150

Then I get

The "Covast EDI Accelerator" adapter is suspending a message coming from
Source URL:"00010653 ". Details:"See EDI Subsystem event log entries for
details about EDI message with: Interchange number: 00010653 , Group
number: , Document number: 00016175 ".

For more information, see Help and Support Center at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

It eventually suspends the message
The real strange thing about it is.... If I restart the services.. and the
task manager
Then reset the message.... It goes thru without any kind of problems.
It doesn't however create the 997 files that I wanted

Is there a way to see the message that was passed to biztalk?

Hi,
I usually find this error true to it's word - i.e. you really dont have
a matching subsription. If you are setting a filter of BTS.ReceivePortName
== portname make sure you use portname without quotes i.e. "portname".
Look in BTSSubscriptionViewer.exe to see what subscriptions you actually have
in place.

However why it works on a re-start mystifies me.

You can look at what comes in using HAT. Reporting, then Covast EDI reports
to see what came in. Then Queries, "messages received in past day" - select a
message and right-click to get "save all tracked messages".
If nothing is returned, make sure you have tracking on the port/receive
location. HAT Configuration to make sure you are tracking message bodies on
the used pipeline or whatever. By default message bodies are switch off. IF
still no luck then make sure SqlServerAgent is running and it can run the
biztalk jobs.
