Author Upgrade from BTS 2004 Eval to Ent
Nikhil

Dear All,
I have developed a solution on BTS 2004 evaluation version. Now we want to
move the same to production. Is there a upgrade path on how can I upgrade my
BTS 2004 Eval to BTS 2004 Enterprise/ Standard.

Hi Nikhil,

On the same box, the upgrade from Evaluation to Enterprise edition is
supported. Simply run the Enterprise SKU installer on this server.
Unconfiguration/reconfiguration is not necessary.

If Enterprise (or Standard) edition is already on a separate box entirely,
simply stage over your BizTalk-related artifacts -- they will work on any
SKU.

Doug Girard [MSFT]

Anon,

As per the above link, "Upgrading BizTalk Server 2004 Editions":

You can upgrade from Partner to Standard, Partner to Enterprise, Standard
to Enterprise, and Evaluation to Enterprise. You cannot upgrade from
Developer to Partner, Developer to Standard, and Developer to Enterprise.
Downgrades are not supported.

I saw the link - but it does not explicitly state that evaluation to
developer and evaluation to partner is not supported. Should I presume that
it is not supported then?

You're right, this doc does leave some holes. You can assume these
scenarios are not supported.
