Help! I cant figure this error out and I have lost the entire morning
because of a simple distinguished field.

I need to set an attribute with a value in my orchestration and it will
not work.

I've read a number of similar posts such as:

http://groups-beta.google.com/group...a52d6fb993d3e2d

This is the SAME problem, but none of the suggestions work. (I also
tried making a new version number)

My orchestration never sees the value, and I dont understand why.

I can validate and test the schema, no problem, but in the
orchestration, the "dir" DISAPPEARS.

I wrote out a trace statement at the beginning of the orchestration and
the value shows up empty. In HAT, I save the document and it also does
not have attribute any longer.

I would appreciate any help on this frustrating problem.

Thanks,

BA

Uncaught exception terminated service
BLA.BLA.BLA(4f299675-d86f-5e3f-5aa3-c6ee9fc5fb39), instance
8ab95a02-ff67-472b-81e1-11646fc12c9b

A failure occurred while evaluating the distinguished field fField.dir
against the message part data. The message part data does not contain
at least one of the nodes specified by the XPath expression (listed
below) that corresponds to the distinguished field. The cause for this
error may be that the message part data has not been initialized or
that the message part data does not conform to the message part schema.
Ensure that the message part data is initialized correctly.

XPath expression: /*[local-name()='BLA' and
namespace-uri()='http://bla.bla']/*[local-name()='fField' and
namespace-uri()='']/@*[local-name()='dir' and namespace-uri()='']

Exception type: XPathUpdateException
Source: Microsoft.XLANGs.Engine
Target Site: Void SetDistinguishedField(System.String, System.Object)

I found the problem....

I had a map which prepared a message to a web service in a test harness.
When I changed the schema to add a new attribute, I failed to add the
element in the mapping.
