Author Orchestration instance active, no tracking events

I've got a strange problem with BT2004. When I submit a message BT the
pipeline completes and the orchestration instance appears in HAT as active.
The instance never completes and there are no errors logged. If I try to use
the orchestration debugger I either get the message "there is no tracking
information available", or the debug window starts but with no tracked
events in it. I reinstalled Biztalk and found that the hello world
orchestration worked. Once I installed the MSMQ adaptor in order to test a
MSMQ orchestration, the hello world orchestration (file ports) stopped
working as above. The MSMQ sample orchestration from the MSMQ sdk also does
the same thing. I'm running this on a WinXP SP2 PC without Biztalk SP1, but
we have a Win 2003 server that has BT 2004 + SP1 which has the same symptoms
(nothing logged in the event log either). I've spent ages trying to figure
out what might be going on, so any suggestions would be most welcome.

Thanks.

May be more cause but two options come to mind:

the orchestration is enlisted but not started. or
the orchestration has a convoy pattern and the second message to fill
this convoy did not arrive.

We've had that with the MSMQ adapter. Following the steps here has helped,
though...

Hi Tomas,

Great! That's fixed it.

I just wish Biztalk gave you a bit more feedback when things go wrong.

Thanks a lot.

Nick.

I hear you! Believe me, I've been telling MS the same thing
Hopefully we'll see better documentation on things like this in 2006.
