Hello,
I am having a problem calling a procedure on a remote server from an SQL
Adapter port.
Local: Windows 2003, Biztalk2004, SQL2000
Remote: Windows 2000 Advanced Server, SQL2000. I get the following message
in the event viewer: "New transaction cannot enlist in the specified
transaction coordinator." I was able to get around this problem when calling
a remote Windows 2003 by using the "Allow Remote Clients" in the Security
Configuration of MSDTC. However I cannot find the Security Configuration
options on the Windows 2000 Server. Does someone know about the configuration
requirement of MSDTC a Windows 2000 machine?
Any help you be helpful.
Many thanks

Hi,

this is what changed from W2K to W2K3 (XP backport) and caused lots of
probs for people working with the DTC in distributed environment.

For W2K the default DTC security on port (*3372) is open.
For W2K3 the default DTC security on the port is closed and the
security setting does not allow for 'remote' clients.

Hope this helps,

Marvin Smit.
