Author Unable to deploy early bindings...

I am learning Biztalk 2004 and I have run into a problem when trying to
deploy an Orchestration dll using the deployment tool. The tutorial that I am
using comes from Scott Woodgate's book and the reported error is below. Not
sure if I have configured something wrong or if I need to install a patch.
Any help would be appreciated.

[Microsoft.BizTalk.Deployment.DeploymentException] Unable to deploy early
bindings. [Microsoft.BizTalk.Deployment.Binding.BindingException] Failed
updating binding information. BindingException: Could not store transport
type data for Primary Transport of Send Port
'MyFirstOrchestration_1.0.0.0_MyFirstOrchestration. EmployeeOrchestration_SendEmpPort_0b74a9

to config store. Access is denied.
[Microsoft.BizTalk.ExplorerOM.BtsException] Could not store transport type
data for Primary Transport of Send Port
'MyFirstOrchestration_1.0.0.0_MyFirstOrchestration. EmployeeOrchestration_SendEmpPort_0b74a9
f9522b49ad' to config store. Access is denied.

Seems like you can't access the SSODB. Is the user you're deploying as a
member of the SSO Administrators group?

I have this problem too, and I have checked to make sure that I am in the SSO
admin group.
Does anyone know how to fix this, or how to trouble shoot it further?
Thanks...

Are you also on the BizTalk Administrators group?

I would check for SSO error messages in the event log (it usually puts there
the failuers, though I believe you can also enable some sort of extra
auditing features, which is in the product documentation)

Also remember that if you got the error and then added yourself to the SSO
admins group to fix it, you need to logoff/logon again for it to take
effect, most of the time.
