Howdy; I just installed BizTalk Server 2006, and find sharepoint installed,
But I created a new sharepoint site and the nice new premade site with its
pretty templates are not installed to create a new website with basic some
functionality.

Any body know how to get and install the Templates?

Are you asking about BAS site template or exactly what site template?

Well, what I mean is that on another machine I installed sharepoint services
and (uninstalled the frontpage 2002 extentions) then extended the virtual
server with Sharepoint Team services and now when you create a new website it
is created with a basic nice set of web pages for a team to use like a
document holding area.

After installing BizTalk 2006 Beta 2, the Sharepoint Site Administrator web
page does not have all the great functionality of the Sharepoint Team Serices
downloads.

Extending the virtual server does not appear the the administrator after
BizTalk 2006 is installed. The sites created blank. So, I'm wondering how
to extend the sharepoint sites to include some basic functionality based on
one kind of template or another.

Not sure what a BAS site template is? (or where to find it) Maybe that's
what I'm after.

BizTalk does NOT install or configure Windows SharePoint Services 2003. You
need to install and configure Windows SharePoint Services 2003 with SP2
manually. This includes extending the IIS web site with SharePoint. You
will have to create a SharePoint Team Site the same way you did when
BizTalk was not on the box.
If you install and configure Business Activity Services (BAS) feature of
BizTalk, this feature will require you to have WSS 2003 with SP2 installed
and configured on the box. As part of the BAS configuration, BizTalk will
create a SharePoint site for you, usually at the
http://MachineName/sites/BASSite url. This site template for this site is
derived from the Team Site template included with WSS.

I'm not sure this answers your question, please let me know if I can
clarify this in any way.

There we go. Originally BizTalk installed a sharepoint server on port 70:70
and the original administrator's icon went there. After installing

Windows SharePoint Services 2003 with SP2

now I've got the whole Sharepoint services site that I recognize, with all
the admin. stuff and templates to create new sites. (now I'll work on
integrating Biztalk with those sites. I need a Workflow management
site/template).

Thanks, I'm well on my way.
