I am trying to connect from a BTS 2006 orchestration to a SQL 2000 database
via an SQL adapter.

Seems to be some sort of permissions getting in the way. I assume at this
stage that I need to ensure the MS DTC is set up on my server (any
articles/pointers on how to confiugre this would be apprciated)

I presume there would be some other security that I need to get through as
well. Again, pointers or articles much appreciated.

TIA

If you are running on a Server 2003 machine, make sure that DTC is enabled
on both machines, and that in the system components in the add/remove
programs, that DTC is checked.
