Hi,

The BAM Query Web Service comes as part of the BAS install. BAS is only
installed when Windows Sharepoint Services is installed. This explains the
behavior you are seeing.

In terms of its usage, this web service is used to track documents involved
in a BAS orchestration.

HTH,
Gary

hi gary,

is it right that the webservice is never used by the bam excel sheet to get
data from the bam db´s or cubes?

That's true.
BAM Excel has its own connection string to get data from the DB's.

Thanks
