| Hi,
We have a problem with a receive location which was working well for few
months and which can't be enabled since last week.
The error is:
Event Type: Warning
Event Source: BizTalk Server 2004
Event Category: BizTalk Server 2004
Event ID: 5740
Date: 4/6/2006
Time: 5:00:47 AM
User: N/A
Computer: BIZTALK
Description:
The adapter "SQL" raised an error message. Details "New transaction cannot
enlist in the specified transaction coordinator. ".
After several attempts, the connection fails and there is another error:
Event Type: Error
Event Source: BizTalk Server 2004
Event Category: BizTalk Server 2004
Event ID: 5649
Date: 4/6/2006
Time: 5:12:40 AM
User: N/A
Computer: BIZTALK
Description:
The receive location "SQL://..." is shutting down. Details:"The error
threshold has been exceeded. The receive location is shutting down.".
We have checked the DTC settings and evrything is fine.
Thanks for your help
Stéphanie

I would definitely check DTC connectivity between the two servers using
DTCPing and DTCTester. That at the very least should make things easier to
diagnose.

| Hi Tomas,
I've ran the DTC Tester and here is the error I have:
Error:
SQLSTATE=24000,Native error=0,msg=[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]Invalid
cur
sor state
Typical Errors in DTC Output When
a. Firewall Has Ports Closed
-OR-
b. Bad WINS/DNS entries
-OR-
c. Misconfigured network
-OR-
d. Misconfigured SQL Server machine that has multiple netcards.
Could you help me on this?
Thanks,
Stéphanie

Have you tried DTCPing as well? What does the output say?
