Installing BizTalk Server 2006 and SQL Server 2005

| Is it necessary to install MS BizTalk Server 2006 and MS SQL Server
2005 on the same machine?
Are SQL Server client tools (that come with BizTalk 2006) needed to
access databases on another machine?
Is it possible to use SQL Server 2005 client tools to access a SQL
Server 2000 database?

Nope. BizTalk can work with its databases on separate machines (in fact,
this is usually the recommended setup for performance reasons).

The BizTalk 2006 prerequisite cabs include all the necessary client tools
needed to install, included the ADOMD.NET updates and so on.

I think so.

| Hi Mike/Tomas, you can use SQL Server 2005 tools to access MS SQL Server 2000
databases. I do it all the time.
