Author Data at the root level is invalid (Biztalk 2006) (biztalk 2004)

We have an orchestration that posts data to a url and receives data using a
flat file disassembler. The orchestration works well on Biztalk 2004.
But on 2006 the same orchestration for the same data gets a response, but
then complains that the data at the root level is invalid. All pipelines on
2006 are deployed correctly. They are identical to the one on Biztalk 2004.

Would sincerely appreciate some thoughts.

Thanks
Rajesh

The cause for this error would be.

if the pipeline is expecting a XML file, but the input is a txt file, this
error occurs.
or

if the doc schema in the pipeline does NOT match with the incoming file.
