Message stuck, and can not terminate
|
|

| Hi
When I open up HAT, I have one message that is suspended. See the
screenshot at http://www.eliasen.dk/biztalk/hat-message-terminate.jpg
Now, the message just stays there. It doesn't actually terminate. I
have tried restarting the host instance, I have tried restarting the
SQL Server and I have tried restarting the entire machine (which is
running both BizTalk and SQL Server). Nothing helps.
I am also getting the issue described in
http://www.kbalertz.com/841334/rece...alk.Server.aspx
- I have tried the steps described to kill the orphaned sessions, but
this didn't help... which was expected, since booting the entire
machine didn't help.
Oh yeah, and just after BizTalk starts, I get these two in the
eventlog:
http://www.eliasen.dk/biztalk/hat-m...-terminate2.jpg
and then http://www.eliasen.dk/biztalk/hat-m...-terminate3.jpg
After this, I no longer have a message with "Terminate" asn pending
job, but just one that is suspended. But trying to terminate this
instance within HAT while the BizTalk host is running till make HAT
freeze completely.
So... How do I get rid of this message?

| Hi Jan,
This looks like a message subscription issue. Can you save as the problem
message in HAT and successfully validiate it with your schema file?
Generally the first step we can try to troubleshoot this kind of failure is
to capture an adapter trace to review and see if there is any clue in it,
e.g: duplicate subscription, message validation failure, etc. This is
better to be handled in a CSS case. If you want my assistance on checking
the trace, please send the .bin file to me at: wjzhang@online.microsoft.com
(remove online.). I will help review it but cannot guarantee my reviewing
will turn up anything. Thanks.

Well, if the problem is with subscriptions, then I can find the error
myself.
The problem I am asking about here is that the message is stuck, and I
can not terminate it from within HAT. Trying to do so will actually
make HAT freeze permanently if BizTalk is running at the same time.
This sounds like an error to me.

| Hi Jan,
If so, I suggest you create an incident to our CSS because there shouldn't
be much helpful resouce in the newsgroup for troubleshooting this kind of
built-in utility hang issues. I just suspect if there is non-discovered
issue of HAT.
