I have some experience on BTS, but pretty much none in edi. My first, very basic question is how to get an EDI schema into de editor as part of my project. I need a EDIFACT D.96A, which is not in any of the samples.

The tutorial -quite conveniently- skips the part on how to create the schemas (they're provided).

I tried add.. New Generated Item.. EDI, but it fails.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

All EDI schemas supported by BizTalk 2004 can be found under "Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2004\EDI\Adapter\EDI Schemas\"

Note that BizTalk 2004 doesn't support D96A. For more information about supported EDI standards see "Supported EDIFACT Standards" topic.

You need to buy accelerator provided by Covast to work with D96A. Claus Loos (claus.loos at covast.com) should be able to assist you.

Thanks,
Tatyana

Creating an EDI document schema is a painful and error prone business.
That's why there are accelerator products that provide these schemas for
you. Do not attempt to create an EDI schema on your own, especially if you
are new to EDI. Buy the schema. You will be glad you did.

Sorry to bring up such an old issue...
But, isn0t there a way to use a D96 standard without the covast accelerator?

I've made an XSD file with the D96 structure and placed it on:
Program Files\Microsoft BizTalk Server 2006\EDI\Adapter\EDI Schemas\d96a" (using BZT 2006), I've edited the codelist to support D96a codes.. but still I can't use it!

I can' select it on the properties:
