Hi

We are upgrading our BTS 04 environment to BTS 06. We have rules that have
been composed using BTS 04. Can we just export them and then import them
into a BTS 06 environment?

Is the format the same?

Thanks,

Rob

Hello.

We built rules in 2004 and imported them into 2006 and I don’t remember
having any problems or even having to do anything at all. Just make sure you
test everything afterwards.

Hope this helps.

Hi Rob,
There are no changes to the Rules Engine from 2004 to 2006.
You can export all the vocabularies and policies from Biztalk 2004 and
in the 2006 Admin Console Import all the vocabularies and policies. You
can do it by right clicking on the "Policies" under Applications > All
Artifiacts.

Biztalk 2006 introduces the Concept of Applications and you will need
to add your policies to the applications once you import and deploy
them. You can do this by selecting your applications and right clicking
the "Policies" and clicking "Add".

Hope this helps.
