Biztalk 2004 Adapter handlers

| When using the Biztalk Administrator to view the configuration of the
Adapter, Send or Receive Handler. As soon as I click on any handler, after a
while, error message pop up “Cannot retrieve list of objects due to WMI
provider failure.” with Advance and Ok button. When I click on Advance
button, error message shows “ New transaction cannot enlist in the specified
transaction coordinator.”

The first problem you mention is indicative of a problem with Enterprise SSO
and overall sounds like you're having DTC issues. Try this...click Start-->
Run..., type dcomcnfg, hit enter. In the console window that pops up, expand
these nodes: Component Services --> Computers. Right-click on My Computer,
select properties, then the MSDTC tab. Click the Security Configuration
button. What do you have turned on/off there?

| Thank you Paul!
I had checked MSDTC settings, those were set as per Biztalk requirement. I
think it was firewall issue between Biztalk Server and SQL Server. I found
that port 135 and 5000-5050 were blocked. So I have made request to open
those ports. Hopefully this will fix the issue.
Thanks,
Viren
