Hi!

Greatful for any help:

This problem occurs every time I want to access WEBDAV from inside one of
the Biztalk Server 2002 tools (Editor, Mapper, Messaging Manager).

It is not possible to retrieve og store to webdav from inside Biztalk Editor
og Mapper. Neither is it possible to browse and point to a map or schema from
inside Messaging manager (when creating or editing a channel, document
definition or envelope.)

It is NOT a problem to access WEBDAV from OUTSIDE the biztalk tools.
E.g. from Internet explorer I can access the Biztalk Server repository using
URL: http://localhost\biztalkserverrepository

I have read through severeal articles on Microsoft MSDN, conserning Biztalk
and Webdav, but only this article seem to have relation to the problem:
http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...roduct=bizt2002

Of the mentioned possible causes listed, only these two seem plausible:

- A "prerelease" version of Microsoft Office is installed on the system.
- An incorrect version of MSDAIPP.dll is present.

Unregistering MSDAIPP.dll has been attempted, but not successful.
The program regsrv32 "hangs" and is never replying.
This might be the main reason why the problem remains??

The article identifies in the end which version of MSDAIPP.dll should be
used. However, the article is old, and it can therefore not be confirmed that
the version used on the server today is incorrect.

Some details of the system:

- Current version of MSDAIPP.dll is: 10.145.3812.0 Location:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\System\Ole db\MSDAIPP.dll
- Current version of Biztalk Server is 2002 Enterprise. Uncertain of whether
service packs have been installed. There are no files on the server named:
BTS2002-SP1*.* , so there SP1 is probably NOT installed.
- Current version of Windows 2000. See below.

Hello Øystein!

I had the exact same problem on our development server (Win 2000) after
installing Biztalk 2002 SP1 (and/or updates from windowsupdate). I ahd the
same version as you of msdaipp.dll. What solved the problem for me was:

Unregistered msdaipp.dll and msdaurl.dll
Copied in an old version of msdaipp.dll (8.103.2402.0)
registered msdaipp.dll and msdaurl.dll

reboot - still no success

run windowsupdate again got the following updates:
Security Update for Windows 2000 (KB824151)
Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1 (KB889293)

reboot - SUCCESS!

Biztalk Editor can access webdav on the local machine again.

I don't know what solved the problem and since I'm planning on installing
SP1 on the production server I'm started to get a little worried. I don't
want to have the same problem on the production server.

I hope this information helps you in some way.

Best regards
