| Hi All
We are evaluating seriously between Microsoft BizTalk & SAP XI+SAP BC.
To be honest so far we are not happy with SAP BC it is such a poor
tool hardly any management tools and deployment of SAP BC is not easy
as well the pilot usage showed us lots of problems on how unreliable
SAP BC further our reference checks with a few SAP sites indicated
that SAP BC was quite difficult to manage and was quite unreliable
with frequent breakdowns
We have been very happy with Microsoft BizTalk so far can any of you
please throw light on the advantages of using SAP BC and SAP XI over
BizTalk. Also how easy it is to implement XML to IDoc and IDoc to XML
in Microsoft BizTalk is it possible out of the box.
Thanks
Belinda

| In SAP world, SAP XI is a must later on for all the inter-SAP component (R/3 , CRM, BW..) communication. also the BPM(business process management) in XI 3.0 is a must for certain SAP application scenario.
For non-SAP application integration, I don't see any advantage of XI over Biztalk.
So the ideal landscape would be
SAP APPs <---------------> XI <----->BizTalk
idocxml
RFCxml
XI and Biztalk are not exclusive to each other but complementary to each other
