TIP: EDI Schema Validation Error (2004)
|
|
|
| HI,
Just wanted to share some recent observations, which will probably be like NO DUH to most of you...
In trying to validate an EDI schema, you will get a very non-specific Schema Validation failed message under the following circumstances:
1. Forgot to manually start the EDI Service under Services.
2. The user you are logged in as is not a member of EDI Subsystems Users, even if you are a BTS Application User, Domain Admin, BTS Admin, etc.

| Hi JT, we also have a hotfix for the "XSD2EDI" error you can sometimes get.
http://support.microsoft.com/?id=840760 is the link to the article on
this, though you will have to contact Microsoft for the fix. Since it's a
hotfix there is no charge for opening an incident to request this. I'd
recommend this for anyone doing EDI with 2004. This should be applied
after the 2004 rollup package.
