Hello all!

I am struggelig with a problem. We have a BizTalk 2000 installed in a
Win2000 server. It's runnig connected on a SQL server installed on a
different server in the same network. It used to run beatifully untill we
had to change all the ip numbers in the network the in which both the
BizTalk server and SQL server are hooked up.

The problem is as follows. Every now and then but far too often the BizTalk
is putting messages in the suspended message queue without being able to
resubmit them.

The message in the suspended queue has following error message:

"The server was unable to complete processing of this interchange before
timing out. This could be because the transmission took too long. Check to
see if this interchange has been sent if you are using and unrealiable
transport before you attempt to resubmit the interchange"

We've tried almost every trick. We checked the all the network configuration
on both the BizTalk and SQL server.

Anyone can help?

Thanks in advance.

Rafael

Do you have an AIC. Usually this error occurs because of some latency
issues in the AIC. One common problem is writing an AIC in VB 6.0 or
earlier created apartment threaded components which basically would
eventually serizalize transmission of your data and so if one item had to
wait for 10 others to transmit before it could even attempt to transmit and
each item took 6 minutes, well that is 1 hour which is our default timeout.
Can you check this? Do you have an AIC? The other thing to realize here is
that this error implies it is taking over 1 hour from the time we dequeue
your work item until it is finally processed. This should also worry you.
What kind of work are you doing which could cause this? Let me know.

THanks
Lee
