| Problem Description: 1. I'm running biztalk server 2004 trial version on Windows XP professional.
2. when I try to enlist an ochestration (which I've successfully evelopped and deployed) trough Biztalk Administration wizard by right-cliking the particular ochestration under Ochestrations folder the system returns me the following error
"Cannot retrieve list of objects due to a WMI provider failure"
in the detailed error it says
"The remote procedure call failed and did not execute"
3. someting similarto this hapned when confuguring the biztalk server. that is when it tried to configure SSO server it failed and returned the error
"The remote procedure call failed and did not execute"
However, as it was stated in the KB (839187) i was able to overcome this by
adding the following registry subkey and seting its value to 1
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MS
DTC\TurnOffRpcSecurity

| If you have XP Sp2 installed, check here:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/security/...rotection/enabl
e_authep_resolution.aspx
Also recheck that DTC is enabled and allows network clients because SP2
disables it. -this is also required setting on any remote BTS runtime and
SQL box.

| Also make sure that the firewall service is not running on the XP box.
