Biztalk server 2004 hangs
|
|
|
| Hi,
Just wondering if any else have experienced server slowless or it hangs for
a long period of time? Some of the things we noticed that might have caused
this is:
- At one time, we notice SSO process using 100% CPU process
- It seems to happen when more than one developer is working on the same
server.
Any input would be much appreciated.

| Hi
When you experience the behaviour( slowless), you might want to go task
manager and check which process is doing work.
I've experienced when validating certain large schemas or edi schemas that
would take up a certain amount of CPU resources.
Thanks.

| Hi Basil,
When we experience hang...it freezes the whole server that we can even see
task manager. I think we've narrowed it down to SSO service. When I disable
it via (ssomanage -disablesso), We can develop and deploy fine.
Unfortunately, when create a port(Receive or Send via biztalk explorer),
biztalk complains that it can't validate against SSO because the service is
disabled. So we go back and enable SSO...the problem comes back.
I believe the following error event log might the cause of slowless:
----------------------------------
An error occurred while attempting to access the SSO database.
Function: GetGlobalInfo
File: infocache.cpp:911
Timeout expired. The timeout period elapsed prior to completion of the
operation or the server is not responding..
SQL Error code: 0xFFFFFFFE
Error code: 0xC0002A21, An error occurred while attempting to access the
SSO database.
-------------------------------------
I can't see why we would get the above since the SSO service account has dbo
access to the SSODB.

| Hi
Is this biztalk server the master secret server per SSO system?
Based on the error, it appears to be performance issue as you mentioned
that the problem appears to occur when there is more than one developer
working on the same biztalk box.
Are you seeing any other errors besides the SSO error?
Do you have the latest Biztalk 2004 Rollup fixes? You might want to ensure
that you have that, to see if it makes a difference.
