BizTalk LEARNING CURVE.
|
|
|
| Hi,
I'm wondering what would you say is a learning curve for BizTalk?
My background is VB.NET/C# and SQL2000 including lots of DTS stuff (3
years). I'm thinking about starting a project using BizTalk but I'd
like to know what I'd be getting into as far as lag time.
Thanks in advance!

| Learn a little bit about the BTS architecture and basic priciples, e.g. with
the tutorial, not to deep.
Start with a simple BTS solution, e.g. a few maps or a simple orchestration.
In short time you're in it.
Don't go in too much details in topics you probarbly never use.
What exactly do you want to hear?

| Best tool I've ever worked with... but also one of the hardest to
learn. Installation sucks. Configuration sucks. Working with it is
just great - it can do anything. You just have to take the time and
effort to learn it.

| I want to hear it takes 30 minutes to master it
Seriously, would I be looking at say 30 days to get upto speed or more
like 3 months?

| Hi,
Mastering BizTalk will take a while, I'd say more like 3 months to become
reasonably proficient, unless your project is dead simple.
