Hi,

My Biztalk Server stopped as the messageboxdb log is full. and there is not
enough space on disk. How can I clean up the Message box in Biztalk 2004. I
have read that SP1 has some scripts that will allow for messagebox cleanup.

We do not want to install SP1 at this time.

How can I purge MessageboxDb without Installing SP1. Is there any script
that I can run or any procedure?

Any Help will be greatly appreciated. As i cannot get Biztalk host to start.
It's in stopped state.

Thanks
MS

Hi,

You need to do a backup of the transaction log in SQL, that will purge the
transaction log file, any DBA will know what to do. You will loose your
transaction log, and should be done with caution.

Are you running biztalk backups regularly?

There are fixes to clean up/purge the DTA database, but the message box is
maintained by the sql agent jobs and the bitalk backup job.

Paul.
