| Would BizTalk 2002 and SQL 2005 work together?
Hi all,
Currently, I have a BizTalk 2002 server running in production and its
databases are stored in SQL Server 2000 Service Pack 4.
I would like to migrate the BizTalk database to SQL Server 2005. I believe
the SQL Server 2005 upgrade wizard will take care that without lots of
issues. The question is whether my BizTalk 2002 server able to work with the
new SQL 2005 databases? Is BizTalk 2002 and SQL 2005 a supported platform by
Microsoft? We need this information for our migration path.
Thanks a lot.

| Hi Abel,
Unfortunately this is not supported. BizTalk 2002 and even BizTalk 2004 are
not supported to be shipped with SQL 2005. Only the current BizTalk 2006
version is designed to work with SQL 2005 as its background database.
Please let me know if you have further question on this. Thanks & Have a
nice day.
Best Regards,
