hello

Logging from a BizTalk 2006 server does replicate to 3 Windows Event logs:
System, Application and Internet Explorer.

It seemed

1. even security logging was written into System, Application and Internet
Explorer Event logs, e.g.

Source: Security
Type: AUDIT SUCCESS
Computer: BIZTALKSERVER
Time: 11/22/2007 4:21:34 PM ID: 540
User: domainname\sharename$ (0x0,0xEE30BF2) 3 Kerberos Kerberos
{3aafef35-add2-2145-ad7b-5899c3c646fe} - - - - - 10.22.105.95 0

2. information/warning/error are all written into System, Application and
Internet Explorer Event logs, e.g.

Source: DataSync.ExecNative
Type: INFORMATION
Computer: BIZTALKSERVER
Time: 11/22/2007 11:42:38 AM ID: 0

/></exposed:DBException></detail></SOAP-ENV:Fault>

3. sometimes the logging description was different, e.g. identical in both
System and IE

BizTalk Server 2006

/></exposed:DBException></detail></SOAP-ENV:Fault>

but the description was a bit more informative in Application log

Source: BizTalk Server 2006

The adapter failed to transmit message going to send port "spOraclePRXCCE"
with URL
"OracleDb://OraclePRXContactCE_9de4aedc-fa98-44cf-ac4b-d3e59f0b935a". It will
be retransmitted after the retry interval specified for this Send Port.
Details:"Error transmitting message: <SOAP-ENV:Fault
xmlns:SOAP-ENV="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/"><faultcode>SOAP-ENV:Server</faultcode><faultstring>Request
ID: Unknown Exception Type: System defined exception Exception Info:
Exception occurred: Source: OracleDB Cause:
OracleDB://exception=DBException (Unique ID <none> ) Exception data:

/><exposed:Description xsi_2001:nil="1"
xmlns:xsi_2001="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
/></exposed:DBException></detail></SOAP-ENV:Fault>".

I don't assume this symptom being a feature. If not, is there any trace
(native BizTalk or custom application) that has been inadvertently left on?
The customer believes their own custom application can invoke tracing, but
the trace output is written onto a log file

Thanks and regards
