I want install biztalk enviroment in a multiple computers,
this give more options of scale out and greater control.
In this case , do I have to install it in a active directory
domain.

Thanks

You can install on multiple servers in a workgroup.
Although if you value your sanity this would not be a wise decision.
I have done this for a test platform, to circumvent bureaucratic
constraints.
It has become a management nightmare.

Use the AD!

If I'm not wrong, there's a recomendation from MS to use Global Groups
and Domain Accounts whenever you want to install multiple servers on a
group.

Adding a note to the discussion, which version of BizTalk are you using?
It seems that in some documents you do not have restrictions on
building the group/hosts and in others only the Entreprise does that.

Sorry Fred,

I mean which "edition" of bts2004? Standard, Enterprise?
Some people says that the standard edition is not capable of groups
(scale-out) although all papers from MS have nothing against it.

Good!

It should work, but as we mentioned before, all service accounts MUST
belong to a domain.

There are a lot of information on scale-out (a.k.a. biztalk groups).
With 2004 you should look for hosts (not groups).

If you need addt'l info let me know and I'll try to help...
