Upgrading to Biztalk 2004 from Release Candidate
|

| We have a setup with Windows 2003 server and Biztalk 2004
Release Candidate (not the beta).
It runs smoothly with out application.
Is it possible to do an in-place upgrade, or do we have
to uninstall and re-deploy the application?
Thanks.

| You need to uninstall and reinstall the release build.

| Yes, you can do an in-place upgrade from RC (build 4826) to RTM (build
4902). Note that 4826 is the only supported build for an in-place upgrade.
You must upgrade exactly what you installed for RC. If you did a custom
install for RC you must duplicate that for the RTM setup.
There are some additional conditions if you need to preserve data for the
following:
EDI functionality
BAS
HWS
BAM configuration files
