Hello,

Problem: Recreating Biztalk Server Setup on new hardware.

We are trying to upgrade / move our current installation to a new piece of
hardware.

Steps Taken:
Backed up Biztalk Databases
Restored Databases to new hardware
Installed Biztalk

Problems:
Tracking appears to work perfectly. Searching for a channel in Messaging
Manager generates the following error.
"The response document is not valid. This could be due to an incorrect
server Biztalk Server path, or due to a failure in server authentication.
If you want to change the Biztalk Server path, on the tools menu, click
options, and then specify a new Biztalk Server path."

Any ideas, pointers on how to do this.

Thanks
Alexis

Are you using the same computername? Perhaps the databases are tied to the
computername you installed it to. I tried to rename my BizTalk computer
once, but that seemed to be impossible. I did all kind of tricks with SSO
settings, sp_addserver, sp_deleteserver and a lot more, but I couldn't get
it to work.

Best regards

GREAT question!!
Can anyone answer this one please?

What is the way to go when moving biztalk servers?
For example when you move from a SQL server on win2K to one on win2K3.

Kind regards,
Christof

You can upgrade the OS (Biztalk Server inplace) from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003, ofcourse after upgrade you need to enable IIS and create proper application pools to use and configure as needed.
