I am attempting to get BTS2004 installed on two nodes of a cluster. SQL Server 2000 Enterprise was installed on the cluster and my understanding of BTS is that since it is not clusterable, I should install it on both nodes of my cluster and have each BTS
instance use the clustered SQL instance.

Someone else built the cluster and installed SQL Server, and unfortunately they are now overseas on military TDY and unavailable.

My BTS installation completes without error and when I choose to run the Configuration Wizard, all looks fine until I get to the Database Configurations, where I receive 'Unspecified Error' for both BAM Analysis Database and BizTalk Tracking Analysis Data
base. All other databases look fine. It is interesting that both of these entries in error show my local node as the Server while all of the other entries show my clustered SQL instance.

I suspect that my problem is somehow related to the cluster or to SQL Analysis Services on the cluster, since I have successfully done the BTS installation/configuration in a single machine environment. Unfortunately, I do not know how to validate SQL An
alysis Server in a cluster, but then again, I don't even know that this IS my problem.

Help?

My thanks in advance,

Open analysis manager in the SQL shortcut menu. If you can connect and
create a database, it's working fine. Unless you explicitly clustered
OLAP(http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;308023), the
node name is the expected server name. Ensure you have installed SP3a for
OLAP, because SQL SP3a doesn't install it for you.
