The official link for CALS.
It is required for each Windows session. For example, A is sitting
physically in front of the machine and working on it, and you remote log
into the machine. It's like you have two people using two windows at the
same time. You will need a CAL for that. To use HTTP service, you don't
need that at all. Imagine a web server that have 10000 clients. If they buy
10000 Windows CALS, they will be broke.

Hey folks,
I've not been able to determine exactly which Windows Server 2003 license I
should spec for a
BizTalk 2004 server implementation. If I have BizTalk 2004 Standard (up to
20 trading partners)
how many client access licenses do I need for Windows 2003? If have 5 CALS
does that mean that
the server will only accept 5 simultaneous http connections?
